Bindweed

Over summer 2024 we worked closely with Mercury Theatre as part of its production of Bindweed by Martha Loader. The play tackles themes of domestic abuse and unhealthy masculinity.

Over the course of the programme, we created space for men to share opinions, celebrate positive masculinity, and foster a better understanding of harmful traditional ideals.

We also delved into how unhealthy masculinity affects our culture and empowered the men we worked with to advocate for a positive, healthy concept of masculinity within their community. Participants gained tools and knowledge to confidently promote this vision, including a complimentary ticket to a performance of Bindweed
